PRIVATE GOALKEEPER TRAINING

Private goalkeeper training is about developing the physical and technical skills of a goalkeeper, helping players to gain a tactical understanding of when and how to use them.

Adrian Bečić is a former professional goalkeeper with experience playing in Croatia ( HNK Mosor, HNK Trogir, HNK Dugopolje, NK Imotski) and Canada (Toronto Croatia, Hamilton FC, Oakville Blue Devils, Mississauga Metrostars). Throughout the year, he conducts private training of goalkeepers in the wider area of Split.

Most clubs and academies in Split do not offer enough goalkeeper training in their program during the season. Parents are forced to seek private training for their children in order for the children to fulfill their potential. It is crucial that young goalkeepers have specific goalkeeping training to improve their skills, confidence and match performance. The goalkeeper position in soccer requires an enviable level of explosiveness of the lower body, technical skill of footwork, stopping and catching the ball during a shot, technique of throwing, catching or boxing crosses, reflex reactions and control and distribution of the ball.

One of the most important but also the most underestimated players in football is the goalkeeper.

One mistake from the goalkeeper is enough to be tragic and often these mistakes lead to conceded goals. Often the goalkeeper does not take credit for the trophies, but the team play stands out, while after a defeat we can often hear criticism of the goalkeeper's performance. Along with the technical and physical characteristics needed to be a successful goalkeeper, a high level of mental strength is required. Goalkeepers are in a unique position to see things on the field that others miss, regardless of the opponent's style of play. It is important that goalkeepers use verbal communication to correct their players and anticipate the next moves of the opposing team. This can help the team win.

Private goalkeeper training will give motivated young goalkeepers the opportunity to develop strong technical foundations.

It is also a very fun, positive and inspiring environment, because by learning and correcting shortcomings, he will become not only a better athlete, but also a better person, and will love the goalkeeping position and the game of football in general.
